Our Mission
The Florida Choose Life license plate began in 1996 as a grassroots effort led by Marion County Commissioner Randy Harris. Created to promote adoption and support women with unplanned pregnancies, the plate was officially approved by the Florida Legislature and became available in 2000. Since then, it has raised millions of dollars for life-affirming programs across the state and inspired similar efforts nationwide.

Proceeds from the sale of the plate are managed by Choose Life, Inc., a Florida-based nonprofit. The funds are distributed to qualified agencies that assist birth mothers who choose life and adoption for their babies. These agencies must be life-affirming pregnancy resource centers, maternity homes, or licensed non-profit adoption organizations that offer their services free of charge and are not involved with abortion in any way.

As of June 30, 2025, the Florida Choose Life plate had sold or renewed 728,611 plates and raised $14,572,226—helping hundreds of thousands of birth mothers and supporting the agencies that serve them.
Every plate tells a story of hope. By switching to the Choose Life license plate, you become part of a statewide effort to support women, protect life, and promote adoption—one mile at a time.
